PGH Party for a Purpose hosts fun, creative and affordable parties for diverse young-minded individuals, while raising funds and generating support for nonprofit organizations in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
PPP was started in December 2006 by three young professionals who were looking to host a party and give back to Pittsburgh’s nonprofit community at the same time. Since then, they have hosted quarterly parties while donating 100% of the proceeds to local nonprofits. More than $28,000 has been raised since then, benefitting over 13 organizations which serve Southwestern PA. In the summer of 2010, the three original founders decided to step down and handed over PPP to four new leaders who will continue to plan and host quarterly parties.

I’m interested in helping and would like to be more involved. Let me know if you are still looking for leadership…… or help.

It seems that a lot of the events are on Fridays. Unfortunately, I can never do Fridays due to religious reasons. What other was can you help? (i.e. I don’t see a donation badge on the site).
Rishona,
Our next event is tomorrow, Thursday, 7/28. Thank you for your inquiry about other ways to help! You can always directly donate to the organizations for which we are raising mony. At this time, we are completing the establishment of PPP as a 501(c)(3), so once that is all finished we will be able to accept donations. Hope to see you in the future!
